GSCNC’s Proud Gold Award Tradition

Gold Award Recipients

Gold Award Recipients

Did you know that GSCNC has the largest number of Girl Scouts to achieve the Gold Award? From 2009 to 2010, 220 Girl Scouts in the Greater Washington Region earned their Gold Award!

The Gold Award is Girl Scouting’s highest honor. It’s earned only by a select group of Girl Scouts who demonstrate a commitment not only to community service, but to advocating for lasting change.

Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and incredibly passionate Girl Scouts that are making a difference in their communities.

  1. And to celebrate this long tradition, GSCNC is launching the Gold Award Alliance, for women who have received Girl Scouting’s highest honors (Gold Award, First Class, Curved Bar or Golden Eaglet) The Alliance seeks to build professional networks, mentor girls going for the Gold today, and increase public knowledge of the Gold Award as an honor more than just “Eagle Scout for Girls.” For more information, please contact or find the GSCNC chapter on Linked In or Facebook.
